The Balm Manizer Sisters Luminizer Palette Review

You can never have too much light in your life, but can't that also mean never too much highlighters?
Price: P1150 from @thebeautyjunkieph
Description:
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, this trio of Manizers has been found guilty - of being gorgeous. Designed for girls on the run, this highlighting trio enables you to emphasize your finest features. This palette contains three triple-milled multi-tasking highlighter, shimmers and shadows. These champagne, rose, and golden-bronze shades are flattering on all skin tones and easy to use so you can take your glow on the go.

I have quite a collection from TheBalm. What can I say? They provide great products with a reasonable price tag. And I've always been curious of their highlighters. But they kept coming out with new variants and when they released this palette I knew it was my chance to shimmer. So without further ado here's Mary, Cindy and Betty

Mary-Lou is a shimmery "honey-hued" highlighter which gives an amazing glow on skin, the shimmer particles are a tad more noticeable than the super fine sheeny finish of the Etude House Face Designing Brightener. It gives a beautiful luminous sheen on skin without looking powdery.

Cindy-Lou is a rosy peachy pink shimmery highlighter that I can describe as an "almost" blush. It's pink but it is subdued and not as noticeable when applied. I don't use this as a highlighter but as a light hint of color on the cheeks.

Betty-Lou is the most intriguing of the shades as it's a bronzer/highlighter fusion. and I mean that in a way that it may look shimmery on pan and when swatched but on skin but when applied it strangely doesn't show any noticeable shimmer particles. It is a warm golden-brown shade meant to provide a sun-kissed glow all over skin.

SWATCHES

Each of the shades do live up to their description. And I don't ever recall being disappointed by TheBalm in general in terms of quality and pigment. The powder quality isn't extremely finely milled but the powder quality is good.

A demo on all shades on my face.

It was a nice experience to try all of the shades for the price. The pans aren't too small and I don't think you'd hit pan on this easily as well. Fantastic pay-off for each shade and you'll understand why when they're really not kidding that these can be used for eye shadows.

They were pretty right on to describe this as glow on the go. And I think a variety of skin colors can benefit from this, but for Betty-Lou which can be a tad too warm or strong for some, not to worry, it is banging on the lids as a wash on warmth!

Overall it is a nice and quality palette for curious gals who never tried The Balm highlighters, but not really an essential per se. But it all really depends on what you like as always. But since I prefer a satin sheen more than a full blown glow, I probably won't be repurchasing. But this is lovely to have for someone who needs an on the go glow palette that won't hurt the budget.
