Etude House Liquid Color Lips in PK008 & PK003 Review

Every year Etude House releases some new form of a lip product. Last year this was one of them.

I have two bold colors, namely PK003 and PK008. Both are bright pink but with different undertones. Intensely pigmented and emollient on the lips, this one’s for every bold lip girl out there. But of course it can be applied lightly for a more subdued look.

If you remember their Color Lips line, it was more of a matte and long wearing concept, which I believe was inspired from the very vogue at that time, YSL Kiss et Blush. This time around with the Liquid Color lips, is most likely inspired from the Dior Addict Fluid Stick, which is more of a very pigmented and moisturizing gloss.

I’ll do a little comparison of the two right now, Liquid Color Lips is of course on the hydrating side of the spectrum while the Color lips is on the matte side. Both can be called liquid pigment, but I’d have to say LCL is more vibrant and prismatic and the shine gives much more dimension. Both are long wearing but it's also the oil content of LCL which gives it more adhesion of pigment on lips. And of course it is much more forgiving on dry lips and does not emphasize flakiness. And to give it credit, it does leave a nice stain on lips even after hours. So rest assured that it will also stay put when left untouched by food.

Swatched
I apologize that my camera can't fully capture the differences in the shades. Though both are neon bright, there are differences.
PK003
PK003 is a Warm Neon Pink, it's eye catching, fresh and makes your lips come from a different happy dimension.
PK008
PK008 is a Cool Bright Pink, clearly with a blue undertone, it's a different direction for warm toned girls like me. It's a nice surprising pop of color on lips.

Overall these are really great lip products which not only provide immense moisture but also high-impact pigment on lips. With the shades I chose which are definitely not for the usual nude or browny pink choices I don, they just really pop to the point that you can't really notice anything else on the mug. Definitely recommend these especially for a night out or special events, or for a less louder shade, a day at the office or a date night. Now if they only came in more browny pink neutral shades....
